We have
very suitably selected the fields in which we have to concentrate
as these three fields are primary in their rehabilitation.
The right to life means the right to live with dignity and that
right to live with dignity includes the rights to livelihood, right
to education and right to health. If human rights are to
have real meaning, they must be linked to participation in society.
Participation is possible if one is healthy, trained and educated.
It also has to be preceded by empowerment. A sense of empowerment
also requires a sense of dignity and self-worth. The unfortunate
girls totally lack these. Our task thus is multifarious. We can
enumerate our objectives as under:
- To create process
of economic, sustainable development of destitute girls, women
and their children and create a conducive environment for
their social integration.
-
To create
self confidence in them by training them for income generating
activities, thereby contributing to poverty alleviation.
- To create the entire
infrastructure to render up to date health care to them.
-
To
educate them at least upto the basic necessities so that they can
independently live.
-
To enable
them to have control over lawful resources.
In the modern world creativity would be major factor for survival.
Income generating training is very essential for the underprivileged.
With the poor resource-base the lower class parents are not ready to
wait for a long gestation period. For them, training must have a short
gestation period with faster return. For underprivileged and
downtrodden, training with short duration is needed that suits their
economic conditions and prepare them better for the livelihood.
We train them for Tailoring,
Embroidery, Craft, Mehdi, Dances, Yoga etc…
